Sweet cravings are the hardest to resist. Sometimes I start thinking about dessert before I even start cooking dinner. However, it’s impossible to have a slice of cake or cream filled ice-cream every night just to satisfy those sweet cravings. So I started my search for the easiest and healthiest ice cream recipe possible. Today I will share my recipe for No Churn Banana Ice-Cream.
This recipe is probably the easiest meal I have ever made in my life. It requires one ingredient and has two steps. Of course, you can add some additional chocolate chips or nuts to give it an extra bang, but you won’t believe the wonders this one ingredient can do.
Although I absolutely love making ice-cream from scratch, I needed to find an easier option for times when I just can’t bother to go through all that hassle! Ripe bananas give out this beautifully creamy consistency, which is quite unexpected. This recipe is perfect for all those on a strict diet or those looking for a guilt-free dessert to end the night.
I took the liberty of experimenting a little and mixed in some tempered chocolate chips, however, this is completely optional. Alternatively, you could add nuts, cocoa powder or other berries to make it into a Banana Berry Ice-Cream. So play around with the flavors and combinations, and Make It Your Way!
3-4 Riped Bananas
1/2 cup of tempered Chocolate Flakes of choice (optional)
First, cut your bananas into 1-inch pieces and place them all into a ziplock bag. Next, place the bag into the freezer and let it freeze completely. I left my bananas in the fridge overnight for best results.
Once your bananas are fully frozen, place them in a food processor and blitz thoroughly till you achieve a creamy consistency. This process should take a good 4-5 minute so be patient. Once completed, you should be left with a creamy soft serve Banana Ice-Cream. At this point, you can mix in your additional condiments and place it back into the freezer, or serve as is.
