I wanted to create a page and solely dedicate it to all the different things, peoples and flavors that inspire me to be the cook I am. Although I have had a love affair with food from a young age, I never knew that there was a part of me that actually wanted to pursue a food blog one day. Luckily, one thing that I made sure to do was to remember the amazing food that I have been so fortunate to taste around the world. From tasting Paella in the streets of Madrid, to having the most unbelievable crepe while staring at the top of the Eiffel Tower, all I can say is that my parents have given me opportunities beyond my belief and that’s what inspires me to be the cook I am today. So now, I take it upon myself to put together the inspiration I have found in my favorite food countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Pakistan, Spain and, most importantly Bangladesh and put in all together in this blog of mine.
For me, inspiration didn’t just come from traveling but more from the hours I have spent in a corner of my favorite bookstore, Chapters. My favorite moments in Vancouver have been spent sipping on a luscious cup of peppermint mocha and just diving into cookbooks, one after another. I hope that you like seeing where I get my inspiration from and please do share some of your thoughts too. I would love to get more ideas and hear about your food stories and find inspiration through you.
